Don't Mess with Women....

The husband had just finished reading a new book entitled,
"You Can Be THE Man Of Your House."

He stormed out to his wife in the kitchen and announced,
"From now on, you need to know that I am the man of this house
and my word is Law. You will prepare me a gourmet meal tonight,
and when I'm finished eating my meal, you will serve me a sumptuous
dessert. After dinner, you are going to go upstairs with me and we will
have the kind of sex that I want. Afterwards, you are going to draw me a
bath so I can relax. You will wash my back and towel me dry and bring me
my robe. Then, you will massage my feet and hands. Then tomorrow, guess
who's going to dress me and comb my hair?

The wife replied, "The funeral director would be my first guess."

I would like to know/and good news!

.....Just to let you know, nothing in this journal's entry is toward anyone in specific, I use it to write my feelings, and about my illnesess, and in hopes it might help someone else as I do.I do not pretend nor imatate to be someone I'm not.I have to be careful, apparently someone are way too obsessed with 'my' life. And if you might take an entry wrong and feel that it is about you, I'm sorry but It isn't, it just may seem to coincide with your own life. And if there is something in what I write that "offends" you, options; don't read, or realize that this IS real life, and get out of your plastic bubble and learn more about it! God bless you!......

                        Good morning! I hope everyone
                              is doing well on this
                                beautiful Sunday!

Firstly; I have to say that I'm surprised by the poll I posted! 27 votes, and 17 comments! Alright....I "got the hint!"

I was going to do a video entry this morning. It's kind of hard to get across to people without seeing them, the tone in their voice and their facial expressions!

I would like to know who were the ones that voted no and why. Lets be honest here, I have been!

I didn't sleep very well last night. My back and my lower back the most, was really hurting me. I'm not on any medicines for the osteoporosis. I'll get through this though!

Last night, we played cards in my bed. I kicked his butt! lol The game was Back alley bridge, I think....I've never heard of it until I met him. It's fun! I had a new deck of cards and they were so slippery...lol....it was a bit hard to hold them! :o)

I want to thank Sugar for the cool graphics that she made for me! :o) Thank you! I love them!

I have planned today to do some crafts! :o) I love crafts! When my children were growing up, I used to keep teaching them in the summer break and on Thursday was craft day. They really has fun! I remember that Wednesdays were to go to the park and do excersices. I would print out work papers for them to do and I made sure they would do them and to get them right so they wouldn't have problems when they went back to school. We had lots of fun doing that!

I'm still pretty backed up on your journals. I'm doing my best to get to them all! :o) I don't know how I got so backed up! lol Sorry.
I'm kind of sad today. I don't know why. Maybe it was just seeing the voting results. It did bum me out. Especially when I really thought that all of you had no problem with me coming out! And were supportive. Again....it goes to show you who your true friends and your fake friends are! It's surely getting narrowed down! Thats why I'd like to know who voted no. I won't be mad or upset, I just want to know thats all. I've been nothing but honest in this journal and I would like it if you were honest as well.
I was going to talk about my good news that I have. I just don't feel up to it right now.
Sorry.

Oh....this is for the people that make tags. Why don't you do tags for the people that are gay? Like Sugar did for me. Just a question.

I need a hug so bad! Any offers! lol :o)
My energy is pretty low today as well. It feels like I'm walking and moving around in something thats real thick! If that makes sense! I'm just going to be extra careful today. I'm not in the mood to fall! Well....I never am! lol
Thats the end of this chapter.........

I really don't know what to say here. I always thank all of you for your support, but I'm not sure now if I even have it!
But I will thank all of you for your comments, I really appreciate them! Believe me, they get me through my days!

Great Toilet Paper Debate

What is the right way to hang toilet paper? As far as myself goes, the placement of toilet paper is a non-issue since I just set the roll on the back of my toilet on top of my Popular Mechanic magazines. If I'm going to have guests that I want to impress (the preacher or my nickel poker buddies), I might slide the roll down on the plunger next to the toilet to give my bathroom that rustic look.

Anyway, back to the question - what's the "right" way to hang the toilet paper? After polling folks on the Internet, up there at Winn Dixie, over at Wal-Mart, and down yunder at the post office, I found out:

51% of folks hang it with the paper dangling over the top.

24% hang it with the paper dangling at the back.

14% of folks say that they hang it whichever way they can get it on the roll the fastest.

11% ain't got no toilet paper holder.

1% said, "Daggum, I'm a guy! I don't know how to change that toilet paper thang!"

Less than 1% (actually 0.03%) didn't know what toilet paper was.

Of course this only answers the question about how most folks hang their toilet paper, it doesn't address the question of what the "right" way is to hang it.

Before I answer that question, I'd like to take a minute and look at all the different types of toilet paper holders there are. First off, here in my neck of the woods most folks (unless they live down there in the city) don't have toilet paper holders. It don't bother us none - we just set the roll on top of the tank, on the edge of the garbage can or edge of the sink.

In government buildings, gas stations, and fast food joints they have those institutional holders where the roll slides on sideways. These vertical holders allow for the owners to put them big four-foot spools of sandpaper-type toilet paper on them. When I was pregnant, my husband (God Bless him) offered to get me one of those so I'd only have to change the roll three times a week instead of three times a day. What a man!

Hey, I wonder if them government boys are upset about whether those rolls are hung right or left? Oh, and this reminds me of a law Congress passed a few years ago, the Americans with Disabilities Act which required hand rails to be placed on the walls of all public restroom stalls. Now, because of the hand rails, they have to mount those big old toilet paper holders down real low, right next to the toilet and everyone has to sit kind of sidesaddle and reach down real far to get to the paper. It really gets on my nerves. Of course, I think the government might've commissioned a five-year study to uncover the benefits of left versus right hangin'. I need to contact my congressman and check on it, I reckon.

Anyways back to the kinds of holders, in the newer houses (built in the late 1970's or so), they have regular horizontal holders and here is where y'all start fussin'. With horizontal holders, it starts to stink like the time Aunt Bette stopped up the crapper after she forgot that she took a double dose of castor oil and then ate four plates of beans. Lordy.

Everybody's got an opinion on the pros and cons of hanging the roll "over" versus "under", and here's what I found out:

As far as being fashionable, the "over" position wins. I visited those nicer hotels (the ones that charge at least $24.95 overnight) and saw that they hung their roll with the paper dangling over the top and then they took the end sheet and folded it into this little fancy triangle. I don't rightly know what that triangle-sheet is for - seems like a waste to me, well, unless you tear off that end sheet and use it to clean out from under your fingernails while you finish your bidness or sumthin'.

If you have toddlers or cats, you should hang it in the "under" position - it doesn't unroll as easily.

If you have boys, by putting the roll in the "over" position, the paper is just begging to be used. This way, the boys will want to use it and you won't have to soak their drawers as long to get out their skid marks.

If you choose a print, you must hang it in the "over" position or the print on the paper will be upside down.

It is easier to grasp if the paper is in the "over" position, of course on the flip side, reaching to the back is just as easy - unless static cling makes the paper stick to the wall.

Standing men prefer the roll over-the-top. I didn't ask why. They scared me.

A physics professor in the "under" camp offered this analysis: To get the paper to turn requires a certain torque, which comes from the tension in the paper being withdrawn. The greater the distance between the plane of the paper being pulled and the axle support line, the less force is required and the less chance of tearing the paper before you have enough. Uh, yeah.

Several womenfolk told me that when they hung the roll in the "under" position, their men often got poop on their hands and then smeared it on the wall when they reached to the back for the edge of the toilet paper.

So the "right" way to hang toilet paper? It depends on what person or critter will be using your toilet and what kind of holder (if any) you got. But, if I just have to choose, then I'll vote for the "over" position.

All this toilet tissue talk has got me to thinking about what I want to get Momma for Christmas this year. She ain't got no toilet paper holder, so I'm gonna install her a nice one. Maybe one of those that have a radio in it so that she can listen to Conway Twitty as she reflects on life's deep meaning. Hey and maybe a cup holder so that she can sip her sassafras tea and meditate on the throne ... ooh, and a telephone jack just in case she is going to be there a while and might want to check her email. I definitely will get her a matching magazine holder for all those Guideposts and Enquirer magazines she dearly loves.

Which way would she hang her roll? Why in the "over" position, of course!

I absolutly love what I recieved for Sweetest Day! My mom and Jim had gotten these for me! I love crafts! No matter what it is. :o)

Well....I see that having a "J-Land coming out party" is going over like a lead balloon! Oh well. :o) I'll remember that! Thanks for being so honest.

I had a great day today! I did have to lay down and take a nap. I still like that new MS medication! But it sure does hit me like a 2x4 and knocks me right out! lol Thats ok because it is working and I can take the side effects better then I can all of the pains! :o)

Jim just asked me if I wanted to play some cards! Heck yea! I love to do that also! :o) oooooh and it's Saturday night and I'm going to be doing something exciting for a change! LOL Whoa now! :o)

Until next time......!

~My day so far/and a poll~

.....Just to let you know, nothing in this journal's entry is toward anyone in specific, I use it to write my feelings, and about my illnesess, and in hopes it might help someone else as I do.I do not pretend nor imatate to be someone I'm not.I have to be careful, apparently someone are way too obsessed with 'my' life. God bless you!......

I hope everyone are doing and feeling great this beautiful morning!

My daughter and my son in law and Kayden came over last night! And of course, you all know how I feel about when they come over! :o)My poor daughter was just so tired and weak. Bless her! She hasn't gotten sick in a couple of days, so thats a good thing. :::crossing fingers, toes and eyes:::
My grandson was wound up and onry as ever! LOL Too funny!

My son and his girl friend made supper last night! They cooked marinated chicken breast, scallop potatoes and a vegetable. :o) That was so nice of them to do that. My daughter and I were suppose to go out to eat, just her and I for a little break. But....I don't know what happened....but it ended up that we didn't go! :o( I think she's going down to Bellbrook to visit her dad this weekend....so maybe when she's up to it, we can try again! I'd really like that! :o)

Oh.... I almost forgot! Happy Sweetest Day!!! :o)

Last night when I took my pills, I could already feel a differance by taking the Lyrica! Not anything big, but like it was starting to take the edge off of the shocking feelings and more of the MS pains! So....I think I like this pill! If it's starting to help me already....a big YAY!!! :o) I really like my neurologist!
One thing that is a side effect...LOL....Just like I really need it LOL.....Is dizziness, drowsiness and my gait being off a bit! LOL My body's been doing that without the medicine! LOL Sooooo, I've been  doing my best when I get up from a seated position. Whew! Yes, I am very dizzy right now! lol It's just so funny to me...because I don't need a pill that will make me dizzy....I'm dizzy on my own! LOL :o) Good Grief!
Yesterday when my mom and I went to CVS to get my script filled, she got me some arts & craft things to do while I'm stuck in bed! :o) Yay! I so love to do those! I really appreciated that! :o) Because I'm running out of things to do in bed! Well...lol....you know what I mean! ;)
Jim asked me what I wanted for Sweetest Day, and I asked for more arts and crafts to do! He just left to go grocery shopping and said that when he gets to Wal Mart, he'll go to that section and then call me. He has no idea as to what that kind of stuff is! :o) Too cute!
I know after this, I'll heave to get back in bed. My pills are making me really dizzy. I just want to be safe.
I know I'm so far behind in reading your journals....I'm trying to get to them the best I can! :o) I have 121 to get to! :o) I might have to delete and start all over if you don't mind.

ukgal brought it up and it sounds like a fun idea! :o) Why not....it'll be fun to do! Maybe I can or someone else can make a certain kind of graphic! :o) I'll write my address in here for you! LOL Just kidding! No...but if you ever do want or need my address, just ask! :o)
I'm just playing around and having some fun! :o) And why not? eh!

I do want to thank you all for all of your support and such kind words! :o) Thank you! It really means so much to me that you do take the time to come and visit my journal and leave a message! Thats so very nice of you! And you really need to do or find something that makes you laugh! And I mean a belly laugh too! Theres nothing else better in this world that makes you feel like a laugh does! :o)
Have a waonderful day, and if you can, get out and enjoy your life on this beautiful day!
