~ Give to every day ~

There will always be a reason to give up, and there will always be a reason to keep going. The question is, which reason will you choose to focus upon?

Your troubles will get the best of you if you give all your time and attention to them. But you always have another choice.

You can give your attention to the positive possibilities. You can choose to focus upon what's right with life.

There is something you can do in this very moment to create a little bit of positive value in your world. Though it may not seem like much, just one small positive action can have an enormous impact.

Even the smallest step has a clear and unmistakable direction. When you choose to take action, you choose to take control.

Don't allow your life to be defined by the difficulties that come your way. For beyond them all, you have something unique and beautiful to give to every day.

~Potpourri~

Good morning/afternoon!

The above pictures are from my daughter and her husbands Christmas pictures....but have been forgetting to post them! :o) I love them! The way they are in the pictures are the same way they are naturally at home/here! :o)
Today is SuperBowl Sunday! Yay! Dh and my sil got a lot of finger foods for today! Yummy! We're all set and you all are invited!
So far so good with the swelling. It's still not all the way down, but the way they are right now are so much better then last week! I'm so thankful for that. :o)
I'm still coughing. Bummer. I have a doctors appointment tomorrow to see my arthritis specialist. Oh boy! I come home so sore after I see him, because he squeeses my knuckles and joints! lol
My regular pains from all of the other stuff are the same. Geesh! It all still starts from my back, down to my hips then down my legs. Yesterday I kept having those electrical feelings go all through my body! When that would happen, I always got tunnel vision and the feeling that I was going to pass out. Just something more to talk to my neuro with. I know that was/is the MS stuff.
I have another joke!

1. How do you put a giraffe into a refrigerator?

The correct answer is: Open the refrigerator, put in the giraffe, and close
the door. This question tests whether you tend to do simple things in an
overly complicated way.

2. How do you put an elephant into a refrigerator?

Did you say, Open the refrigerator, put in the elephant, and close the
refrigerator?

Wrong Answer

Correct Answer: Open the refrigerator, take out the giraffe, put in the
elephant and close the door This tests your ability to think through the
repercussions of your previous actions.

3. The Lion King is hosting an animal conference. All of the animals
attend.. except one. Which animal does not attend?

Correct Answer: The Elephant. The elephant is in the refrigerator. You just
put him in there. This tests your memory. Okay, even if you did not answer
the first three questions correctly, you still have one more chance
to show your true abilities.

4. There is a river you must cross but it is used by crocodiles, and you do
not have a boat. How do you manage it?

Correct Answer: You jump into the river and swim across. Have you not been
listening? All the crocodiles are attending the Animal Meeting. This tests
whether you learn quickly from your mistakes.

I thought it was funny, so I thought I'd share it. :o)
I have something inspirational as well. :o)

Make it real

The problems seem so big and imposing because you focus on them so intently and see them so clearly. Imagine looking at some of your best positive possibilities with the same intensity and level of focus.

The past seems so real because you know so much about it, and as a result it commands much of your attention. Consider what would happen if you could put your full, undivided attention on the valuable and creative things you're now able to do in the present.

Whatever you focus upon grows more and more influential in your life. Because the things you focus upon are the things you act upon, and every action has real consequences.

Your life is what you choose to make it, and the time to choose is right now. What you do with the moment at hand is more important, by orders of magnitude, than any past disappointments or present difficulties.

This is the day for you to make a difference. This is your moment to transform nagging problems into magnificent opportunities.

You are able, right now, to choose any thought, any action, and any path. This time, you can choose the very best and truly make it real.

-- Ralph Marston

That one stepped on my toes a bit. The truth will do that.
I'm going for now. :o) I do hope that all of you have a great day! :o)

Finally.....A Kayden video!

Girls Night Out

Two women friends had gone for a girl's night out. Both were very faithful and loving wives. However, they had gotten over-enthusiastic on the Bacardi Breezers. Incredibly drunk, and walking home, they needed to pee, so they stopped in the cemetery.

One of them had nothing to wipe with, so she thought she would take off her panties and use them.

Her friend however was wearing a rather expensive pair of panties and did not want to ruin them. She was lucky enough to squat down next to a grave that had a wreath with a ribbon on it, so she proceeded to wipe with that.

After the girls did their business, they proceeded to go home.

The next day one of the women's husbands was concerned that his normally sweet and innocent wife was still in bed -- hung over, so he phoned the other husband and said, "These girl nights have got to stop! I'm starting to suspect the worst. My wife came home with no panties!!"

That's nothing" said the other husband, "Mine came back with a card stuck to her butt that said.....

"From all of us at the Fire Station. We'll never forget you"

Tampons

Two young boys walked into a pharmacy one day, picked out a box of tampons
and proceeded to the checkout counter.

The man at the counter asked the older boy, "Son, how old are you?"

"Eight," the boy replied.

The man continued, "Do you know what these are used for?"

The boy replied, "Not exactly, but they aren't for me. They're for him.
He's my brother. He's four. We saw on TV that if you use these, you would
be able to swim and ride a bike. Right now, he can't do either one.

Healthier

Two old guys were sitting in the park, talking, when the
subject turned to getting older. The first guy said, "Women
have all the luck when it comes to getting older."

"What do you mean?" asked the second guy.

"Well," replied the first. "I can barely remember the last
time I was able to get it up in bed, but my wife is
healthier than ever!"

"Healthier? How is that?" his buddy wondered.

"Well, years ago, when we were younger, almost every night
before bed she'd get these terrible headaches." he answered.

"Now that we're older, she hasn't had a headache in years."

A little of this and a little of that

Good morning!

Firstly, sorry about the way I ended my last entry. For some reason, I started to feel a bit overwhelmed. I don't know if I was "picking up" on someone, or if my house was "acting up" again. Either way, both feelings are very close. And yes, I know I'm odd. :o) I'm sensitive and can pick up on things sometimes. Just something I've lived with. Anyway, after I stoped writing and signed off, I felt a bit better.
I was up last night, (the night before) because of the coughing I still have. Thats the reason why I'm up now. A lot of times when I'm either up early or haven't gone to bed yet....my grandsons toys will 'go off' as well. Now that gets my attention! I will just say loudly to 'stop!' And it does for awhile. It's a lot like yelling at your kids. Because more then likely, it will start up again. This house is no where near like my house we used to live in. Maybe one day I will write about it and post some pictures that I got from all the years of living there.
After I got off line and just walked around the house, I started to feel better and a clearer mind. I just had to 'shake' it off. Since we've lived here, I haven't been able to smudge the house. Maybe I can get my daughter to do it for me. I know my son would for me as well, but he needs to have his whole heart in it.
Well....yesterday I basically slept the day away. I woke up at 3:00 pm.! I got to bed around 7:00 am. And again, tonight is no different. <sigh> If I could get rid of this nasty cough, I could sleep better. My daughter went to the doctors and they gave her a Z Pack to help her cough. I'm so glad that she isn't coughing like she was. My grandson is starting to feel better as well. When my nurse came yesterday, she tried to call and get ahold of my doctor. They left early because of the nasty weather we're having here. At least she tried. :o) This was a different nurse. My regular one was sick. Everyone is right now.
Well.....I did what I knew I would do! lol I over did myself on Thursday showing everyone what I can do now! :o) Its just been so many years since I could do that! And it feels so good to use those muscles again! :o) I know that I can't take what I have (my illnesses) away, but I can live "with" it, if it can live with me!
Soooo, I was in some pretty bad pains yesterday! :o) But it was sooo worth it to me! It's almost like my brain and my body are trying to work together finally! :o)
My legs, ankles and feet are a bit swollen, but just the 'regular' swollwing. I'm going to just baby myself today so that just incase, they won't go back to the way they were. Like my grandma said when she was alive, (she had congestive heart failure and blood clots in her lower legs) that after the first time of having swollen ankles and feet, it won't take long at all for them to go right back to the way they were. And thats very true. I know today to just rest and baby my legs so the swollening won't come back like it was. If any of this makes sence.
I think I've rambled on enough. :o) Thank all of you for your treasured support! :o)

Thoughts and feelings

How can you go ahead and take action when you don't feel like it? Set your feelings aside and do what needs to be done.

How can you move toward your dream when you don't think you can do it? Set your thinking aside and follow your heart.

Thoughts and feelings are powerful and extremely useful, yet they do not have to control you. You control you.

Pay heed to your feelings and listen carefully to your thoughts. Then act according to what you know, in that part of you beyond thought and beyond feeling.

Thoughts and feelings are important parts of life, and yet they are not the whole essence of life. Keep yourself connected to that ineffable presence that is life itself.

Be guided by what you think and what you feel. And all the while, be true to who you are.

-- Ralph Marston

Some good news

I have good news to report. The first one is my body is probably 98% better. My legs, ankles and feet look and feel so much better. I just haven't been on the computer as much and just really taking it easy.
The next is, today was the first time in years, that I have been able to stand straight with my knees locked and my arms reaching up over my head. I really like the way my new physical therapist does the deep tissue massage. I was  so proud of myself....I was going around the house to show off. I told him that I have an attainable goal I'm working on; walking without any assistance. And after that....be able to dance once again.

I took a few pictures and a video of my grandson tonight. It's not posted because I was having problems with the sites.
Right now...the weather is freaking out. It's raining and sleeting. I hear we're suppose to get hit with some nasty weather.

I've been up all night again. I still have this cough that won't go away and it keeps me up at nights.
I have a feeling I should just go ahead and end this.................
