I was Christmas tagged by Millie! LOL

The Rules":
The player of this game starts with "3 things he/ she would love to get for Christmas" and also has to list "3 things he/ she definitely does not want to get for Christmas".
Then he/she tags 5 friends and list their names.
The ones who get tagged need to write on their blogs about their Christmas wishes, as well as state this rule clearly, then tag 5 more victims.
And the one who tags needs to leave a comment that says "you've been Christmas tagged!" in their comments and tell them to read your blog.

Three things I Do NOT want for Christmas:
1-I don't want anymore tests! LOL
2-I don't want anyone to be angry, hurt, upset.
3-I don't want to have too much pain on Christmas!

Three things I DO want for Christmas:
1-I want everyone to have peace within them!
2-I want everyone to know the true meaning of Christmas and this celebration!
3-I want alittle less pain!

I was tagged by Millie! :o) Now I'm going to list 5 of my friends that I'm going to tag as well! LoL! :o)

Not what I expected!

Good morning! I hope all are well today! :o) I recieved 3 more Christmas cards yesterday! :o) Thank you so much! Lisa Jo, John & Krissy and Lori & Todd! :o) Love them all! :o)
Yesterday, I called the hospital to see if I needed to do any preperations for the test before I went in. I'm so glad I called! :o) Whew! :o) They didn't have me down...! lol Way down deep, I was thinking, "YAY!" But, I knew I had to get these nasty tests over with. So, the lady told me that she would call the doctor that ordered it and call me back. Well...I got a call back from the nurse at my doctors that had ordered the test. When I called the hospital, I told the lady what the test was called that was writen on the paper! The nurse told me that she made a mistake! What?? Oh NO!!! :o( What kind? Good or bad? My heart just sunk! She said that she called the hospital and got it all cleared up and to just go in, and they already have my records done for me! I hurried up and asked....What test is it? She told me it was just the barium test! Whew! My heart started beating again! This was the easiest test there is! Whew! So, I get there and what I know is that I had to have barium as they watch through x-ray on how I swallow and how my muscles work. I was taken into this room, and I'm a short woman, and so I had to "climb" up into this chair! I was all ready! But...the doctors were late! Uh!

After 15 minutes of waiting. They come in and start "preparing" my barium "food!" :o( Ick! I had several different cups of barium that were of different thickness, a dish of applesauce with barium paste, and last but not least, a craker with barium paste on it with another cracker put on top like a sandwich! I had to start with the less of the thickness barium drink, it went down fine ( their opinion ), and go from that to the thickest! They did see that it was getting stuck! Then he gave me a huge spoon full of the applesauce mixed with the paste! More of a spoon full then I would have gotten....because when he put it in my mouth, some of it ooozed out! Yuck! I had to just swallow! That was hard to do! That got stuck a bit as well! They gave me the thinest barium to sip on to try to get it all the way down...it finally did! The doctor watching the x-ray asked me where I felt things getting stuck, and I had to point on the my throat where, and he said that was the places that it was showing up on the x-rays as well. Then, the cracker. This time, he gave me the cracker and told me to take a bite that I would normally take, so I did. I also told him that since I was young, I've always chewed my food so many times, and by the time I'm done chewing, it should be liquified! LOL Thats another one of my weird things I do! LOL When I was done chewing the cracker and swallowed it, he said, "Boy...you were right about how much you chew!" lol So I swallowed. I felt it getting stuck too. And I pointed where I felt it, and the doctor said thats where he see's it too. Well of course, because thats where I felt it! LOL :o) And, that was it! I had to drink a lot of water of course so that barium didn't turn into cement. And I sure did! Plus to get that nasty stuff out of my mouth! eeeww!
I came home and had some sprite to try and get that feeling out of my throat! I can still feel that barium in my throat! :o( So...I don't know when that other test will be now, since she made a mistake with this test. And I want to thank all of you for your prayers! :o)
I have another doctors appointment again this morning! Geesh! This time it's just my family doctor. It's just a follow up...I think, it's so hard to remember! lol :o)
My physical therapist came this morning as well. :o) Wow...It hurt so bad! My left hip and leg were the wosrt! She asked me if I had done anything out of the ordinary, and nope, I haven't. And, of course...I cried. I won't be able to see her again until after Christmas! :o( Thats ok though. I need to get off of here so I can get ready to go to the other doctors. :o)
And, I also want to thank you all for the nice emails and comments! :o) God bless you all! :o)

A Christmas Version of 1 Corinthians 13

A  Christmas Version  of  1 Corinthians 13

If I decorate my house perfectly with plaid bows, strands of twinkling
Lights and shiny balls, but do not show love to my family, I'm just another Decorator.

If I slave away in the kitchen, baking dozens of Christmas cookies, preparing gourmet meals

and arranging a beautifully adorned table at mealtime, but do not show love to my family, I'm just another cook.

If I work at the soup kitchen, carol in the nursing home and give all that I have to charity,

but do not show love to my family, it profits me nothing.

If I trim the spruce with shimmering angels and crocheted snowflakes, attend a myriad of holiday parties and

sing in the choir's cantata, but do not focus on Christ,  I have missed the point.

Love stops the cooking to hug the child.

Love sets aside the decorating to kiss the husband.

Love is kind, though harried and tired.

Love doesn't envy another's home that has coordinated Christmas China and table linens.

Love doesn't yell at the kids to get out of the way, but is thankful they are there to be in the way.

Love doesn't give only to those who are able to give in return but rejoices in giving to those who can't.

Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all Things.

Love Never Fails.

Video games will break, pearl necklaces will be lost, golf clubs will rust, but giving the gift of love will endure.

Merry Christmas To You and Your's !

Learn to describe your pain

Learn to describe your pain symptoms clearly:

how much it hurts, where it hurts, how often it hurts, and what it feels like so you can contribute to the assessment of your pain.

Types of pain

Understanding the different kinds of pain that you may be experiencing-and the terms used to describe them-will help you communicate better with your medical team.

Acute Pain comes on suddenly, usually from an injury or surgery. It can usually be treated and lasts for a short period of time.

Chronic Pain lasts beyond the usual healing time for an illness or injury. It can last from months to years. At times it can go away completely, or it can remain constant. Types of chronic pain:

Intermittent pain is episodic. It may occur in waves or patterns. Intermitten pain is often treated with NSAID's, adjuvant medicines, and non-drug therapies. Moderate to severe intermittent pain may be treated with short-acting opoids.

Persistent pain lasts 12 or more hours every day for more than three months. It is usually treated with medicine that you take at specific times every day so that you get pain relief throughout the day. Moderate to severe pain may be treated with opoids.

Breakthrough pain comes up quickly or "breaks through" the medicine you are taking to relieve your persistent pain. It can occur many times during the day. This type of pain can be treated with specific medicines used as you need them to get quick pain relief.

The goal of pain managment is to treat pain until optimal relief and functional out comes are reached.

I got up early again this morning! The puppy woke me up! lol I heard something loud...like he was chewing on something plastic! Well, he was! :o) My husband was sleeping on the couch again, and had his bottle of water sitting on the floor. Not a good idea! lol Bear got ahold of it, and was chewing on it! :o) So, I've been up since 1:30! 4 hours of sleep is still good for me! :o) Not bad.
I want to thank Vicky and Michelle for your Christmas cards! I love the photo card of the boys vicky...they are just so adorable! :o)
I remember one of the things that the doctor told me that I have that I forgot I had after all of these years! Colitis! I need to look that up still. There's still a few other things that I have and still for the life of me can't remember. I'll ask him. :o) Oh...it just came to me! Some kind of an ulcer in my stomach! I'm writing this down. Maybe peptic or something like that. I'll look it up and ask him as well. :o) Geesh its so hard to keep track of everything! lol :o)

Today is my first test. If you could, please just keep me in mind and pray for me to have the strength I need to get through this. :o) I'm going to call before I leave to see if there are any preperations I need to do before I go. I just want to make sure I do this test right the first time, so I don't have to do it over! Whew! Thats happened to me before!
I'm going to go now! :o) I need some quit time to relax and pray. :o) Thank all of you for your supportive comments and emails! God bless you all! :o)
