~Happy Memorial Day~

Wishing all of you a beautiful Memorial Day, and remember the young men and women that are still across the ocean.

In Flanders Fields
By John McCrae

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly.
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved, and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

Please take a moment today to say a prayer for the ones that has passed and the ones that are still there.

We really need to pay homage to these guys this year, this has become such a hard and costly war in terms of a few people's sacrifice who serve.   A nice thoughtful tribute!  Gerry

I recognize the first picture you have on this entry.  That is at the U.S.S. Arizona memorial in Pearl Harbor.  So much history there and along with the beauty is the solace of what happened there in 1941.  To all lost American souls, my love goes out to them and the sacrifices they made for us.

We have our flag flying in honor of those who served in the past and those serving today to keep us free.  They are all in my heart and prayers. Arlene (AJ)
