Another update....

Well....I called the doctor that I went to yesterday....and asked what I was suppose to do because I was so 'out' of it, I couldn't remember. They told me that I needed to have a follow up with my GP. I called my GP....The doctor I do NOT like, and they got me in today at 2:30. I went and told him why I was there and what had happened in the other doctors office yesterday. Their offices are right next to each others. All he did was tell me that he would give me medicine to help me with being dizzy!!! What?! Thats like putting a band aid over an open wound!!! I kept telling him about my blood pressure and that was why I AM dizzy!!! And that was it!!! I will have to resort calling 911 if I get any worse! Which I really hate doing! So.....that was my appointment today! I barely had the strength to even talk to him....I really wanted to say a few things to him, but didn't get the chance to! He just kept dodging what I was even there for! I wanted to tell him if you felt this way and your blood pressure was going up and down....would you need help to?! So, thats that!!! I am still dizzy and having the same problems! Nice doctor huh?!

hun...not for anything but you really need to complain to the AMA about your GP doctor....putting a "band aid" over the problem is not helping.....that really is a poor excuse of a doctor not to even pursue what the hell is going on with you...
Please know that I am sending positive thoughts your way and keeping you in my prayers...take care sweetie!!

Most of the Docs here where I live are like that Lisa, just not interested.I miss my doc from back home who I had for thrity years. He was like a brother,we could talk all day and I got satisfaction. Here I do just not have the pacience to go see this one as you are a number only.In and out before you even explain what you feel like. I hope you have a better Friday Grrrrr. If you get any worse go to the hospital and tell them he wouldn't listen.I have done that a few times. They have even said are you with so ans so practice when I say yes ,they say I thought so.Grrrrrrrrr.So even th ehospital know what my Doc is like useless I tell you.How do they expect people to get well under these circumstances.Take Care God Bless Kath

If you don't trust him, then you need to get another GP. Check around and see if you can get one soon.

He should have listened more, and explained more.  Perhaps that Rx is to help keep your blood pressure levels more even, which would therefore help with the dizziness, BUT, if he never said that, how would you know that?  What he said does sound bandaid.

Argh...I hate drs. like that!  Maybe the medicine (Antivert?) will help.  I would call the 1st dr. you went to and tell him about your GP.  Hope you feel better.

Lisa, get in touch with the first doctor you went too and let him know how your visit to this doctor went and hopefully he can see you again or get you with someone that is more caring and helpful.  You sure have nothing to lose contacting the good doctor.  Arlene (AJ)

That is terrible! I am surprised and angered that your doctor could treat you that way. Hope you get this problem taken care of soon. A good doctor is hard to find these days.

I have to say that I don't think that doctors really get what their job is.  It isn't just show up and collect a paycheck . . . it would help if they would actually communicate with you and find out what is going on instead of telling you to take two aspirin and call them in the morning before their golf game.  Anyway, I hope you are doing a little better, I'm worried about you.  If you have to call 911 to get some help then do it.  Take care.

I'm surprised he didn't send you back to a cardiologist and put a monitor on you.  I hope you find a good doctor.  Please don't let it go.  Hope you are better soon.
