Please....don't take life for granted.

I haven't been able to write in my journal until now. Too shaky to type much. :o) I'm giving it a try this morning! :o) I get on line in the mornings to check my email, then I'm off and in bed the rest of the day. I am so weak. LOL My grandson is getting so much better! I'm so glad to see that. :o) He's litterally up and running around again! :o) Bless his heart! :o) Today, they are going to get their Christmas pictures taken! :o) I can't wait to see them! Of course when they do get them I will post them on here! :o) I just have to share! :o)
My daughter has gotten better as well. :o) My son got what ever this is too. Saturday, my husband said that he started feeling like something just hit him right out of the blue! I told him that, thats how this stuff hit me too! He's drinking a lot of water....and I am pumping the vitamins and water! :o) Last night, he came in here to tell me something, and he sat his water down, and we both forgot who's was who's! lol So..we just got new one's! lol :o) We didn't want to spread what we both have to each other! :o) He sounds better this morning. :o) He has asthma and was coughing a lot last night.

It is pretty cold here, it says it's 13 degrees out! Good grief! When my son came down to go to work, he told me the wind chill factor was -3 Whew! I haven't even started shopping yet. Oh well. We are only getting our grandson gifts this year anyway. Things that he needs. Our children are old enough, and they know the real meaning of Christmas. :o) We give them each a gift card or something like that, that they can use. Nothing big. Christmas is to celibrate the birth of Jesus. Every year, on Christmas eve, I've always read to my children from the Bible the birth of Jesus. That way, so they would know, and to never forget what Christmas was all about. ;o) This time of year, it seems that everyone/everything is going so fast! It should be the oppisite. Slow down, and take the time to be with your family. Why does Christmas make it any different then any other month or day out of the year to give? And it doesn't have to be money. It can be a hug, a blanket to keep warm, something that is needed, not wanted. Thats why I always say, not to take life for granted. All I want for Christmas is to see smiles on my families faces! :o) Thats it! And that will make my heart warm! Thats all I need! :o)
Thank you all for your supportive emails and comments! :o) God blesses all of you! :o)

we haev a donation box on our table we jews call it a tzadekah box. we set it out at our holidays and Hannukkah will be one...... and we at dinner give thanks for what we have and pray for those who dont and we put money in that box and on the day of the celebration we give it to someone in need. Its how we celebrate the meaning of our high holy days and minor holy days.  for eight days during the hanukkah celebration we will play games with gelt money and we will give extra money in the box and we eat special foods. we celbrate greatly what we HAVE not what we get thugh we do give gifts to each other but the blessing it what you have already surely. then we share with someone else. I hope your better soon and glad all your family gets better soon

hi Lisa...

Sorry that your feeling unwell and hope you get better soon, pleased your grandson and daughter are much better. I do hope your husband feels better soon, the coughing is a nightmare with Asthma, i hope he don't get worse and to keep warm when he goes out. I will be thinking of him! I totally agree with you Lisa! christmas is about the birth of Jesus, not for what people expect to get from others. All i want is for everyone to be healthy and happy, that is the greatest present of all...God Bless you and your family...

Glad to hear that you are feeling better as is your grandson!  I hate being sick.  Thankfully I'm pretty healthy most of the time.  No complaints.

You have the right idea about Christmas, Lisa..

I'm so glad the baby is better.  It sounds like you and your husband care for each other very much.  I know the grown up children will understand but I know they'll bless you with a gift cause you are MOM.  I LOVE the graphics so much. I've just written only last week about the commercialism of Christmas.  I know why we celebrate.  And as I write this, I already am experiencing His Christmas Presense.
I can feel Him around me and with me.  I know you can too.
